Ha Giang Loop Epic Expedition: Ma Pi Leng Pass & Nho Que River 3 Days

DAY 1: HANOI – HA GIANG – DONG VAN KARST PLATEAU (L, D)

• 05:00 AM: Our expert guide and driver will pick you up from your Hanoi hotel. Settle into your premium vehicle for the scenic journey toward the northern highlands. (Breakfast will be at a rest stop along the way on your own account).

• 12:00 PM: Arrive in Ha Giang City. Check-in at the iconic Milestone Km 0 for a quick photo and enjoy a hearty lunch at a local restaurant.

• Afternoon (The Ascent): Begin your spectacular climb onto the Dong Van Karst Plateau (UNESCO Global Geopark). The winding roads offer jaw-dropping scenery at every turn. We will stop at:

  • Quan Ba Twin Mountains & Heaven Gate: Marvel at the poetic beauty of these unique natural formations.

  • Tham Ma Slope: A famous, photogenic winding pass.

  • Sung La Valley: Visit Lung Cam Cultural Village and the historic Pao’s House, a famous filming location surrounded by seasonal buckwheat flower fields.

  • Hmong King’s Palace (Vuong Mansion): Explore the unique, fortress-like historic residence of the Vuong family, who ruled the region in the early 20th century.

• Evening: Arrive in Dong Van Town and check into your hotel. Enjoy a dinner featuring local highland specialties. Afterward, enjoy free time to explore the charming Dong Van Old Quarter illuminated by lanterns.

• Overnight: Standard 3-Star Hotel in Dong Van Town.

DAY 2: MA PI LENG PASS – NHO QUE RIVER – LUNG CU – YEN MINH (B, L, D)

• Morning (The Legend): After breakfast and check-out, prepare for the most majestic landscapes of your life. Drive along the “Happiness Road” to conquer the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass. Stand in awe as you gaze down at the abyss 800m-1000m deep.

• The Canyon Cruise: Descend to the emerald Nho Que River. Board a local boat and glide through Tu San Alley. With vertical cliffs reaching 800m high, this is the deepest and most magnificent canyon in Southeast Asia.

• 12:30 PM: Enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a local restaurant.

• Afternoon (The Northernmost Frontier): Head towards the Chinese border to visit:

  • Lo Lo Chai Village: A fairytale settlement of the Lo Lo ethnic minority, famous for its traditional earthen-wall houses and stone fences.

  • Lung Cu Flag Tower: Take an electric buggy to the base and climb to the sacred North Pole of Vietnam. Enjoy sweeping panoramic views of terraced rice fields and border villages.

• Late Afternoon: Transfer down to the peaceful Yen Minh Town.

• Evening: Check into your hotel. Enjoy a warm dinner and relax after an action-packed day.

• Overnight: Standard Hotel in Yen Minh Town.

DAY 3: HIGHLAND MARKET – HA GIANG – HANOI (B, L)

• Morning: After breakfast, visit the vibrant Yen Minh Market (if scheduled). Observe the colorful traditional outfits of the local ethnic minorities as they gather to trade livestock, agricultural products, and handicrafts.

• 09:30 AM: Board your comfortable vehicle to begin the descent back to Ha Giang City.

• 12:30 PM: Enjoy a final highland lunch in Ha Giang City.

• Afternoon: Continue the smooth journey back to the capital via the expressway.

• 07:30 PM – 08:00 PM: Arrive safely back in Hanoi. Your guide and driver will drop you off at your hotel, concluding an unforgettable Ha Giang Loop expedition.

CHILDREN POLICY:

• Under 4 years old: Free (Parents cover all expenses; lap sitting on bus).

• 5 – 9 years old: 75% of tour price (Separate seat, 1/2 meal portion, shares bed with parents).

• 10 years and older: Charged as an adult.

• Note: 2 adults can only accompany 1 free child. The 2nd child is charged 75%

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• 7 days prior: 30% penalty.

• 5 days prior: 50% penalty.

• Within 3 days: 100% penalty
