Our expert guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. Your journey begins at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university built in 1070. Wander through its peaceful pavilions and learn about the profound influence of Confucianism in feudal Vietnam.
Next, head to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, the political heart of the nation. Walk across the vast Ba Dinh Square, admire the striking Presidential Palace, and visit the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, an architectural masterpiece founded in 1049.
10:30 AM: Echoes of the Vietnam War
Take a scenic drive to the picturesque West Lake area. Here, you will encounter the monument marking where the late US Senator John McCain was captured after his plane was shot down in 1967.
A short distance away lies Huu Tiep Lake (often called B-52 Lake).
